Student Travel Grant

The IISWC 2007 organizers would like to encourage graduate student participation at the conference by partially or fully funding the travel costs of individuals who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference.

Eligibility Requirements

A grant will cover travel, accommodation, and registration costs up to $500, based on need. IISWC anticipates awarding about 10 grants this year. The selection process will give preference to Ph.D. students presenting their own published work and in need of supplemental funds for travel. However, other students likely to benefit from the program are also encouraged to apply.

Application Materials

Email applications to the Registration Chair Shiwen Hu (shiwen.hu@freescale.com.)

The application should include the title of the paper (if the student is a co-author on a paper) and a justification of the the need for the travel grant (air fare and other anticipated costs.)

A letter of recommendation from the student's advisor: The advisor should clarify whether other sources of funding are available.

Important Dates

Applications and supporting materials are due by September 6, 2007.
